Fifty-five Jewish lawmakers from 22 countries gathered in Jerusalem in June 2011 for the International Consultation of Jewish Parliamentarians. The meeting was co-organized by the International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians and the World Jewish Congress (WJC).

The following was the presentation to the group by M.K. Moshe Ya'alon, Vice Prime Minister & Minister of Strategic Affairs of Israel. His perspective on the region is sharp and focused, and his views are clearly heard within the inner cabinet.
